Everything Deserves a Second Chance

Trees are such things of beauty.  They give us so much in this world from the air we breathe to our homes.  They deserve to be reborn into something else and not discarded after they have served their purpose.  I'm Robby McCasland and this is what brings me enjoyment.  I see a cross, a cane, a bench, a wishing well, or a bird house when I see a tree that is being cut down or lumber being discarded.  So, I try to give these things new life by recreating them in what I see - Born Again Creations that I get enjoyment from making and hopefully, you get enjoyment out of the imperfect art that results.

Born Again Creations are meant to honor our Creator and Lord and to bring those who encounter them blessings by witnessing to the individual that second chances are what God's Grace is all about.

Each creation will not be perfect in the end as there is no such thing in this world.  Each creation's imperfections in shape with each crack and crevice in the wood represent each of us.  The crosses I make and try to work into other creations, represent the Gospel, the Good News.  The A, B,Cs of Salvation - The Admission that we are sinners; Believing that Christ came into this world and lived the life described in the Bible, was crucified and shed his blood for us, died and was laid in a borrowed tomb, arose on the third day defeating death, ascended to heaven to be with the Father, and promised someday to return for us; and Calling upon the name of the Lord, accepting His gift of salvation.  For, these are the things that represent the base, the rock that is Christ and that which our faith is built on.  But, it is up to us to take action and accept the outstretched hands of Christ through his Gospel and the A, B,Cs of Salvation.

 THE GOSPEL

HE was born of a virgin in a stable because there was no room at the inn.  HE was amazing the elders of the temple before he was a teenager.  HE bore witness and preached the Gospel in what was considered a backwater of the Roman Empire.  HIS Gospel would spread throughout the empire and the world.  HE was betrayed for 30 pieces of silver.  HE was mocked, spit upon, cursed, and scourged to the point of death with a flagrum.  HE was humiliated with crown of thorns.  HE was condemned to crucifixion, yet HE committed no crime.  From the cross, HE asked the Father to forgive those who were crucifying HIM.  HE was pierced for our transgressions, HE was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon HIM and by HIS stripes we are healed.  HE took HIS last breath from the cross by saying “IT is Completed”.  HE was buried in a borrowed tombstone.  HE conquered death and was resurrected to life on the third day.  HE ascended to heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father.  All was done as the prophets had said.  

HE is our blessed hope and will return for all who believe and profess HIM!  HE is Jesus Christ…the LAMB of GOD!
